1. First use:
Absorbent boxers must be washed before first use. To achieve maximum absorption capacity, it must be washed approximately 8 to 10 times. You can wear your boxers after the first wash, but remember that they will not have reached their maximum absorbency yet!

2. Dress normally:
That's the wonder of this incredible boxer! You wear it like you would regular shorts or underwear. It's thin, comfortable and hugs your body just the way it is!

3. Change as needed:
The time between changing absorbent boxers is unique for each person and each cycle. The Bela Gil Absorbent Boxer is recommended for light to intense flows.

In the first cycles, the ideal is to monitor them more closely until you understand how the boxers behave with your menstrual flow and to identify the best time to make the change. If your boxers feel damp and heavy, it's time to change them!

Washing absorbent boxers is super easy! We have prepared a detailed step-by-step guide to help you with this process:

1. Keep your used boxers in the waterproof bag:
First of all, keep your used boxers in a clean place until they can be washed (or soaked). We recommend Korui waterproof bags as they keep moisture out of the boxers, which makes washing them easier. Remember, the sooner your boxers are washed (or left to soak), the easier they will be to clean.

2. Machine or hand wash:
Absorbent boxers can be washed in the machine along with your clothes and you can use the amount of soap recommended by the manufacturer. You can choose to soak it for half an hour and/or remove excess blood in cold water before placing it in the machine. You can also wash your boxers by hand (even while showering), just remember to remove excess soap. You can use neutral soap or the Korui menstrual accessory sanitizer, made entirely with vegan ingredients, super safe for your body and zero impact on the planet. Just washing is enough to disinfect your boxers, but if you wish, you can soak them in a solution of tea tree oil, eucalyptus or any other mild disinfectant. The sun also has natural disinfectant power.

3. Dry in the Sun:
Dry your boxers in the sun on the wrong side, this way you preserve the tone of the fabric and always keep them dry and with that sunny smell! On rainy days you can also dry it in the shade, but it is important to make sure it is completely dry before storing. Never iron.

Attention: You can use your boxers after the first wash, but remember that they will only reach maximum absorption capacity after around 8 to 10 washes.

Inner layer fabrics may fade. This happens because it has an inner layer made of cotton, a natural fiber that reacts to the pH of the blood.

We do not recommend boiling or ironing.

4. Store your boxers in a cool, dry place:
At the end of your menstrual cycle, store your boxers in a cool, dry place for your next cycle.
