We are a business that was born to generate more life on Earth, and we want to do that now. We chose to centralize our first investments in the Amazon, as this is the biome that most influences life on all continents in the world. Furthermore (and despite this), the Amazon is facing an emergency never seen before, with the highest rate of deforestation and crimes in history, which could have serious and irreversible consequences for the entire Planet. Investing in the Amazon is a concrete, necessary and urgent path.

The Amazon is 5% of Planet Earth's territorial area.

There are almost 7.5 million square kilometers of pulsating life. This biome occupies nine states and 49% of the Brazilian territory, and is present in seven other countries: Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Suriname, in addition to the territory of French Guiana.

The Amazon is water.

With 6.1 million square kilometers and more than a thousand tributaries, it is home to the largest river basin in the world, with 25 thousand kilometers of navigable rivers and 20% of the world's freshwater reserves. The Amazon River, almost 7 thousand kilometers long, releases 175 million liters of water per second into the Atlantic Ocean.

The Amazon is culture.

There are more than 33 million inhabitants in the region, 1.6 million of whom are indigenous people from 370 ethnicities and hundreds of different languages. Countless tribes carry with them cultures, arts, traditions and the secrets of ancient natural medicines. It is a relationship of respect and integration with nature that needs to be taught to the next generations. This population acts as guardians of the forest, being essential for the maintenance of the Amazon and its biodiversity.

The Amazon influences the climate of the entire planet.

With its territorial extension and enormous plant density, the Amazon is one of the largest carbon deposits in the world. Its trees alone contain around 20% of all the carbon captured by plants across the planet. The Amazon hydrological basin is essential for maintaining the world climate. The water that rivers dump into the seas and that plants release into the atmosphere in the form of vapor influence the climate of the entire Earth.

The Amazon is life.

It is estimated that 20% of the air we breathe is produced in the Amazon. Stopping, breathing, reflecting and walking is an Amazonian act. More than 40,000 plant species and 22% of the planet's animal diversity live in Brazilian territory alone – a record biodiversity.

This is just a summary of the main reasons why we chose the Amazon as a focus of action for the greatest possible positive impact on the regeneration of life on Earth. If you want to know more about the forest and its importance, we have included some websites below where you can delve deeper into the topic.

Thank you for being part of the solution with us.
