History

Created by two sisters, Lígia and Julia, who since childhood have always had great admiration and contact with different traditional and indigenous peoples through their family, Urucuna was born with the mission of being able to contribute to the valorization of the Brazilian bioeconomy, including indigenous crafts and traditional communities, in addition to promoting well-being at home through natural and vegetable oils and butters from the Amazon.

Producers

The beginning of Urucuna's production chain takes place with natural raw material partners. The packaging is largely biodegradable and handmade by indigenous artisans and traditional communities.
Currently, the brand has more than five partnerships signed with the Paiter Suruí, Gavião, Cinta Larga and Apurinã indigenous peoples, in addition to the Menire women artisans of the Xikrin Indigenous People.
The essential oils and butter used in the recipes are produced from sustainable extraction by Inatú, a collective brand created from a partnership between Idesam and associations and cooperatives in Amazonas.
There is a partner factory that helps with the production and adaptation of products for the market, going through the marketing authorization process by Anvisa.
