BakedBrain

Impact

Using Cannabis as a raw material is already an impactful way of helping to preserve the environment and regenerate the damage caused by humanity to our planet, as its cultivation requires less water, pesticides and fertilizers compared to other fibers. The long, strong roots penetrate deeply into the soil, improving its quality and promoting water retention, as well as cleaning soils contaminated by toxins and heavy metals.
Social and environmental responsibility and awareness are present in all of BakedBrain's choices, from raw materials to production, and in the network of partnerships and collaborators.
Choosing Nepalese Hemp helps strengthen small traditional Nepalese communities, responsible for preserving ancient customs in harmony with the environment.
The BakedBrain studio is strategically located at the top of the mountain in Serra da Mantiqueira, where the work is done in deep connection with nature.
100% of the studio’s energy is photovoltaic.
In addition to producing Hemp accessories, the brand also maintains the purpose of being active in the work of demystifying Cannabis: contributing to expanding knowledge about its multiple beneficial potentials is also a way of encouraging sustainable development.

History

Larissa Miyazato, founder of the brand, is from São Paulo, graduated in Fashion and worked for years with creation and design. With maturity also came clarity of dissatisfaction with the established system. The move from city life to the mountains in 2013 enhanced professional opportunities aligned with more authentic beliefs and values. Years later, from the meeting between the vast experience with creation in Fashion and the rapidly expanding Cannabis market, BakedBrain was born. Larissa put into practice research into the cannabis universe and the advances that have made it possible to break negative stigmas regarding the plant. A trip to Nepal was the great trigger for defining paths, with experiences, contacts and inspirations that made Nepalese hemp the main raw material for the brand's products, which are produced in Brazil.

Who does

Baked's production chain begins with local Nepalese artisans who make hemp fabric by hand: from harvesting the fibers, treatment, spinning, dyeing, to weaving.
In Brazil, with Nepalese fabrics in hand, the design of the pieces is developed in the brand's studio and the production itself is carried out in small local clothing factories.
The sale and distribution of ready-made pieces is designed to also strengthen small businesses and women, in addition to the cannabis market. By establishing partnerships with small clothing manufacturers and sewing workshops - the vast majority of which are headed by women - to carry out projects, it impacts the local community in a positive way, promoting fairer work practices and contributing to the reduction of inequalities.

Products

Nepal was the theme of Baked's first collection, which has been building its independent brand identity. In a fluid creation process, with socio-environmental awareness and responsibility,
authentic and exclusive products, valuing the transformative and regenerative potential of Cannabis as a real and sustainable alternative for the fashion market.
