“The Earth and the Sun travel in the cosmos, in a spiral, drawing a flower. Daily, we flourish.”
This phrase is part of the short film “O Sol e a Flor”, one of the seven episodes of the Flecha video series, produced by the Selvagem project ( selvaciclo.com.br ) – an initiative that seeks to articulate indigenous, academic, traditional and spiritual, among others.
In addition to videos, Selvagem also promotes conversation circles, books and study cycles. All with the guidance and participation of the thinker, environmentalist, writer, indigenist and philosopher Ailton Krenak. He narrates the Flecha videos and also works on many other aspects of the project, together with creator Anna Dantes.
In Arrows, in particular, this meeting of knowledge and Karnak's wisdom gains even more power with the beauty in the way of seeing and delivering this connection.
The episode “The Sun and the Flower” opens up space for different views about the sun and life on Earth: scientific theories, Yanomami knowledge and Guarani legends intertwine in waves of light, biosphere and cosmic dust. It is a poetic and deep dive, with a unique perspective.
