Sétima Handmade

Seventh Handmade

Impact

Sétima goes against the grain of the fashion industry, fabric production and capitalism, in order to reuse materials that have already been discarded as waste in the textile industry's mass production process.
As consumers who are co-responsible for the exacerbated demand for clothing items, the concept that Sétima brings is that of reusing raw materials with the aim of extending the useful life of textiles, reducing the environmental impact of disposal in landfills.

The brand intends to improve its ethics with the Earth, being more conscious and responsible with the message it needs to leave.

History

Nathalia Eva is the creator of the project. She was the one who conceived the main idea and has been structuring the brand after a long time experiencing practical fields in upcycling, circular fashion and searching for authentic pieces in thrift stores and bazaars. In parallel, Nathalia has been promoting the narrative of sustainability and reuse.

In 2021, feeling the need to recreate scenarios and build new possibilities, fulfilling the call of nature and her ancestral strength, Nathalia started what she now considers “medicine clothing”, unique pieces that meet non-standards, made on a minimal scale within of its specificities of handcrafting. “Recreating the old, building the new.”

Who does

Nathalia Eva started her first Sétima collection just by cutting and remaking pieces found in thrift stores, counting on a seamstress to do the finishing touches.
Producer of all stages of work from then on, from choosing the fabric to delivering the pieces, most of the production is hers, from start to finish.
Within financial possibilities, we hire outsourced labor sporadically, expanding the web of prosperity.

Today we have the support of two more women, who take care of the administrative area and bureaucratic issues, photography, social media, pricing and resources.

Products

The pieces feature comfort, a silky touch on the skin and a great fit when worn. Buyers report experiences of high self-esteem, positively stimulating care and love. Sétima adds personal empowerment, dresses in an exclusive way, and extends the useful life of fabrics that would otherwise be discarded in landfills. This information makes people feel happier about being able to contribute with work that is done by hand and that directly impacts a creative and circular economy.
